1. Tell us what you need to pack
Every custom foam project starts with understanding what you need to protect. Whether it’s high-tech equipment, sensitive instruments, or bulky tools, our experts will advise you on the ideal HUSK case based on the item’s size, usage, and environmental requirements. We make sure you get the right case before we even begin designing the foam interior.
2. Send your drawings
Already have a technical drawing? Great, just send us your STEP file and we’ll get to work. Don’t have one? No problem. We offer high-precision 3D scanning services to create a perfect digital replica of your product. For the best result, we prefer to scan the item at our facility so we can quickly resolve any inconsistencies. However, on-site scanning at your location is also available on request.
3. Foam selection
Not all foam is created equal. Based on the weight, fragility, and usage of your product, we’ll advise you on the best foam type for your application. Whether it’s lightweight polyethylene for rugged protection, soft polyurethane for delicate surfaces, or high-density EVA for complex layouts, we’ll match the right material to your needs. Our team ensures maximum durability, precision fit, and the professional finish your gear deserves.
4. Develop drawings for customer review
Once we’ve gathered all the details, our design team creates a detailed foam layout tailored to your product. You’ll receive an online proof showing the exact positioning, cutout shapes, and dimensions. Through our digital review platform, you can approve the design or provide feedback directly. Fast, clear, and hassle-free. Nothing moves to production until you’re fully satisfied.
5. Prototype production
Once your layout is approved, we create a prototype using our in-house machinery to ensure a perfect fit and finish. Our team conducts extensive internal testing to validate dimensions, foam density, and cut precision. We provide detailed photos and video so you can review the result remotely. This speeds up the process while maintaining full transparency.
6. Feedback and approval
After reviewing the prototype visuals, you’ll have the opportunity to share feedback and request adjustments. Whether it’s a tighter fit, altered layout, or added features, our designers will make revisions quickly and efficiently. Once you’re 100% satisfied with the design, we’ll proceed to full production. Your approval is our green light.
7. Production
Once approved, your custom foam insert moves into full-scale production. All cutting and fabrication take place in-house using our state-of-the-art CNC machinery and precision tooling. This gives us full control over quality, lead time, and consistency, ensuring your foam is produced exactly as designed, every single time.
8. Quality control
Before anything leaves our production facility, every foam insert undergoes a thorough quality inspection. We check cut accuracy, material consistency, dimensional tolerances, and overall finish, ensuring it meets both our internal standards and your expectations. Only after passing inspection is your foam cleared for final assembly.
9. Case assembly
Once quality is confirmed, your custom foam is fitted into the selected HUSK case with precision and care. We make sure every insert aligns perfectly, sits flush, and delivers the rugged protection your equipment deserves.
